Robert Fini, Principal
FutureSys Design is wholly owned and managed by Robert Fini, CTS. With more than 20 years’ experience in audiovisual engineering, design and integration, Rob began his career in 1985 as a draftsman (yes, on pencil and paper) for one of the largest systems integrators in the industry. After receiving a BA from Rutgers University, majoring in Physics with a specialization in Microelectronics, Rob returned to the audiovisual industry as a Systems Engineer and Project Manager.
After successfully completing numerous projects for fortune 50 clients, Rob left the integration world to work for a major audiovisual control system manufacturer as an Applications Engineer, with a territory covering the entire northeastern United States. Not finding the high-volume manufacturing world suited to his desires for close end-user contact, Rob returned to the contracting world as a Senior Project Engineer for an established integrator in Northern New Jersey. Rob’s desire to get closer to the client eventually moved him into consultative system sales, but the pressure to meet quotas and quarterly production numbers ran at odds with his desire to give the client exactly what they needed.
That was the impetus that led to the creation of FutureSys Design. With complete creative and management control of the firm, Rob was finally able to implement many of the client-focused practices that he felt had been lacking in the field at the time.
Rob’s specialty is in the remote control of complex integrated systems, with special focus on the design and logic flow of user interfaces. Rob uses this focus to strive for client advocacy, acting in the capacity of Executive Project Manager to ensure that the final system design and installation fulfills the client’s business needs.
